A Study on the Concentration of Some Trace Element in the Korean Permanent Teeth

Abstract
To provide a basic data about minor metallic constituents of Korean permanent teeth, concentration of 4 elements (Cu, Zn, Pb and Hg) were measured in 200 teeth samples collected in 1983 at Department of Oral Surg¡þery, Chonbuk University Dental Hospital. Average concentrations were 6.47 ¥ìg/g for Cu, 243.02 ¥ìg/g for Zn, 22.81 ¥ìg/g for Pb and 1.12 ¥ìg/g for Hg.
There were some positive significant relations with object¢¥s age (Pb), urban dwelling (Hg) or each other (Pb and Zn).
Some differences in the concentrations were oted by the kind and part of tooth or DMF pattern, although not so significant.
